GRADUATE MANAGEMENT ADMISSION TEST (GMAT)

The computer-adaptive GMAT (GMAT-CAT) is a 3 1/2 hours test consisting of three different sections, each with its own time-limit:

  • Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA)
  • : 60 minutes
(Two essays to be composed on a given Issue and a given Argument)

  • Verbal Ability
  • : 75 minutes
(41 multiple choice questions on Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning and Reading
          Comprehension)

  • Quantitative Ability
  • : 75 minutes
(37 multiple choice questions of two types - Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving - on       Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Graphs)

In our study materials on each topic, questions similar to those asked on that topic in the written GMAT tests between 1980 and 2002 have been classified under appropriate heads, their various patterns identified, and detailed lessons written in a lucid manner explaining the basic concepts that are sought to be tested and the method of tackling each pattern of questions correctly and in the shortest possible time.

Where there were common types of questions in GMAT and GRE, the questions from the latter, which are of the same type and same level of difficulty, have also been taken note of.

To give an example, you will face just 1 or 2 questions on Triangles in the Quantitative Ability section of GMAT. But our study package contains as many as 220 questions on Triangles of the same type and difficulty that were actually asked in GMAT and GRE of earlier years.

Similarly, you will face just 12 questions on Critical Reasoning in the verbal section of GMAT. But our study materials contain as many as 600 questions classified under specific categories to enable you to have a structured and focussed study.
